From the outset Brooke St Pier was envisioned to host the highest quality hospitality venues in Hobart, and the team behind Aløft were exactly the right clients to help bring that idea to reality. 

At Aloft the architectural strategies were twofold; the first to create a relationship between the kitchen and seating providing unobstructed views between the chef and the restaurant floor, heightening the dining experience of the user. The second strategy was to employ a restrained material palette of charred timber and polished Tas Oak to make the pragmatic insertions into the space. The intention to limit focus to the most important elements of the experience; the produce, production and the view, whilst providing a rich textural canvas for this to occur.
